About the Role
The leader will shape and execute Genie’s manufacturing strategy to lower costs and maintain flexible capacity, overseeing a team of six project managers, engineers, and analysts while collaborating across engineering, supply chain, product management, finance and other functions. Key duties include aligning manufacturing plans with product and design strategies, driving large‑scale footprint programs in response to macro‑economic trends, developing make‑or‑buy and vertical‑integration options, guiding site‑selection for global facilities, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. • Directly manage six project managers, engineers, and analysts. • Align manufacturing strategy with product, design, and supply‑chain plans. • Lead cross‑functional programs to adjust the manufacturing footprint amid macro‑economic and geopolitical shifts. • Develop make‑or‑buy, vertical‑integration and production strategies to protect gross margins. • Oversee site‑selection and global network project execution on schedule and budget. • Conduct financial and operational analyses to support strategic recommendations. • Present strategic plans and data‑rich updates to senior leadership and the Board.

What You Bring
The Director, Global Manufacturing Strategy role is based in Bothell, WA, reporting to the VP of Global Operations, with up to 25% travel and a hybrid/on‑site work model. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in business or engineering, have at least five years of manufacturing experience (MBA preferred), and demonstrate strategic thinking, strong financial and operational analysis, cross‑functional collaboration, and effective communication at all organizational levels. • Require a bachelor’s degree in business or engineering; MBA preferred. • Minimum five years of manufacturing‑related experience. • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and communicate at all organizational levels. • Travel up to 25% of the time.
