About the Role

Project Field Supervision of crafts, subcontractors, field staff, or home office staff includes overall budget performance and site management. The role also involves performing other duties as required. The incumbent oversees daily construction activities at the work site, managing worker schedules, equipment and material deliveries, and project progress. They work with contractors to ensure projects are completed within budget and timeframe, resolve contract disputes, and handle order changes. Leveraging extensive field knowledge, they plan and achieve goals, lead and direct others, and report to a manager or department head. • Oversee daily construction activities, including scheduling workers, equipment delivery, and project progress. • Collaborate with contractors to complete projects within budget and schedule. • Resolve contract disputes and manage order changes. • Apply field concepts, practices, and procedures to plan and achieve goals. • Lead and direct work of others, exercising creativity and latitude. • Supervise daily activities of business support, technical, or production staff. • Resolve standard and non‑standard problems. • Set team priorities and coordinate work with other supervisors. • Hold formal supervisory responsibilities without performing supervised work. • Use operational and supervisory expertise to solve area‑specific problems. • Interpret customer needs and assess requirements. • Provide day‑to‑day direction to support business objectives. • Work within budget to meet operational objectives. • Resolve routine problems using defined processes and experience. • Coordinate resources to meet short‑term objectives. • Prioritize employee tasks to meet deadlines. • Explain difficult issues and obtain agreement. • Manage employee performance through task assignments, skill assessment, and coaching.
