About the Role

The Pump and Power Road Technician 2 is responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical equipment problems, performing advanced repairs, and assessing customer needs to provide effective solutions. In the absence of a Shop Foreman or Service Manager, the technician may also lead and train other team members.

What You Bring

Successful candidates will have 5–7 years of experience repairing and maintaining pump and power equipment, a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, and will pass a DOT physical examination. An EPA Section 608 universal certification is required. Key competencies include advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and diesel equipment such as generators, HVAC systems, and air compressors, as well as expertise in refrigeration, load‑bank repairs, and dehumidification equipment. Experience with variable‑frequency drives, soft starts, and across‑the‑line motor starting is preferred, along with any factory training on diesel, generator, compressor, or HVAC systems. A wide range of military occupational specialties, AFSC, and NEC codes are considered transferable, and related civilian titles include construction equipment mechanic, field service technician, heavy‑equipment mechanic, maintenance electrician, and many others.
