About the Role
• Operate cleaning machinery and perform mopping, vacuuming, wiping, sweeping, and related cleaning tasks. • Clean toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows, oven canopies, and keep trolley bays free of leaves and debris. • Apply all health and safety procedures while cleaning. • Provide a smartphone with NFC capability for the Arcus Connect App (time and attendance). • Work 18 hours per week on a fixed‑term contract until March 2026, with mostly evening and weekend shifts.

At Arcus, cleaners are a vital part of our company, and we are looking to recruit a part‑time In‑Store Cleaner based in Sainsbury's Bishop Auckland store on a fixed‑term basis until March 2026, working 18 hours per week at £12.21 per hour. Immediate start is available. What will you need? Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential as on‑the‑job training will be supplied. Sainsbury’s stores are open 7 days a week and Arcus offers various shift patterns with 5‑ and 6‑day working options, including early morning, morning, afternoon and evening shifts and weekend work. The current shift pattern for this role is: Sunday 17:00‑20:00; Monday‑Thursday 20:00‑23:00; Friday day off; Saturday 20:00‑23:00. Overtime opportunities may increase hours. Arcus cleaners take pride in keeping Sainsbury’s supermarkets clean and safe for customers. Cleaners will complete daily cleaning tasks to maintain the highest standard, while following health and safety procedures. Full training is provided.
