About the Role

• Participate in constructability reviews and task planning. • Prioritize multiple assignments and manage deadlines. • Interpret supervisor direction, evaluate, and implement quality plans. • Produce work that meets company policies, procedures, and industry standards. • Champion MasTec culture, ethics, and effective communication. • Represent MasTec professionally in all client interactions. • Provide contract‑required reports such as weekly, monthly, and non‑conformance. • Implement the Corporate Quality Manual and develop site‑specific quality plans. • Identify needs for Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs). • Lead quality training, onboarding sessions, and meetings. • Support craft superintendent with quality consumables (e.g., electrodes, welding lenses). • Conduct quality audits, craft observations, and Quality Leadership Team meetings. • Compile and submit weekly quality metrics (repair rates, non‑conformance, testing). • Participate in stretch/flex and morning gang box meetings. • Report non‑conforming and rework events; engage in incident investigation and corrective action. • Ensure subcontractor kickoff meetings cover quality requirements and hold points. • Track timely closure of non‑conformances and observations. • Enforce stop‑work authority for quality‑related events. • Act as a key project leader and conduct internal/external meetings professionally. • Provide on‑the‑job training to quality managers, inspectors, and operations personnel. • Manage direct reports including Site Quality Managers, Inspectors, administrative staff, and survey teams. • Participate in staffing and review of site quality personnel. • Mentor and develop site personnel, fostering career growth and team retention. • Lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.

What You Bring

MasTec Industrial seeks a Senior Quality Manager to lead the Quality Program across high‑impact construction projects. This traveling, project‑based role may require up to 90% travel, with assignments lasting 8‑18 months per site, and includes per diem and mobilization support. The position demands physical endurance, including 12‑hour shifts, lifting up to 50 lb, working at heights, and wearing required personal protective equipment in varying weather and site conditions. • Minimum 10 years of quality experience in construction/operations across civil, electrical, mechanical, pipeline/oil/gas, industrial, and welding activities. • Proficient with ASME, AWS, AISC, ASNT, NEC, NFPA, NBIC, and ACI codes and standards. • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) required; alternate certifications may be considered. • Demonstrated experience leading large industrial projects and multidisciplinary teams. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, and construction management software. • Proficient with Bluebeam Revu; Smartsheet and InEight experience preferred. • Knowledge of MIC Health and Safety programs and project‑specific regulations. • Strong written and verbal communication; capable of preparing reports and business correspondence. • Self‑motivated with critical‑thinking skills to develop corrective actions for quality incidents. • Diplomatic ability to address quality and safety issues with internal and external parties. • Physical ability to work 12‑hour shifts, lift up to 50 lb, work at heights, and wear required PPE.
