About the Role

The Asset Information System Manager will provide strategic leadership for HS2’s Asset Information Management System (AIMS), a key component of the Common Data Environment and the repository for the Asset Register. The role involves managing the Asset Information team, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring AIMS aligns with the Digital Engineering and Asset Management strategies to maintain an up‑to‑date, controlled asset register throughout the programme. • Set strategic direction for AIMS within the Digital Engineering framework. • Serve as Subject Matter Expert for the AIMS programme, integrating it with wider Digital Engineering initiatives and managing resources to deliver projects on schedule. • Lead the development of HS2’s asset data dictionary in collaboration with engineering, environment and asset management disciplines. • Define and maintain the AIMS data model in line with the Ontology Framework, ensuring programme‑wide alignment. • Establish and continuously improve governance processes for asset data dictionary and AIMS configuration changes. • Provide technical, commercial and leadership support to end‑state and delivery functions across the programme. • Drive continual improvement of AIMS functionality through specification and requirement definition to meet evolving business needs. • Identify and implement workflow and quality improvements to enhance data quality and information exchange efficiency. • Promote the Digital Engineering strategy and AIMS adoption, delivering training and presentations to internal and external audiences. • Champion Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in all activities, supporting organisational EDI initiatives. • Deliver specialist technical support across disciplines to diverse programme stakeholders. • Align strategic objectives with actionable plans and lead a team to achieve business goals. • Manage stakeholder relationships, including identification, analysis, and development of engagement strategies. • Communicate effectively with internal and external parties, negotiating expectations as needed.

What You Bring

Benefits

The position offers a base salary ranging from £54,878 to £64,562 per annum, dependent on skills and experience. In addition, a flexible benefits fund equal to 20 % of the salary is provided, fully pensionable, alongside a range of competitive benefits detailed on the HS2 website.
