About the Role

• Lead and promote a safety‑first culture, mentor staff, and investigate incidents. • Manage JE Dunn pre‑start process for all projects. • Support preconstruction by performing quantity takeoffs, coordinating trades, and developing scopes and bid packages. • Create and execute the buyout schedule, verify pricing, and issue subcontracts to selected bidders. • Set up and manage the submittal schedule, review and approve shop drawings and samples before submission. • Ensure approved submittals are returned to subcontractors and available to the project team as scheduled. • Coordinate with logistics to obtain pricing for materials and equipment. • Work with risk management to secure bonding and approvals, and conduct ongoing subcontractor risk analyses. • Coordinate all project stakeholders—including subcontractors, owners, field teams, designers, and vendors. • Distribute change requests, collect subcontractor pricing, and evaluate adjustments for accuracy. • Prepare and obtain owner/architect approval for change orders. • Lead monthly project reviews, progress meetings, and Owner‑Architect‑Contractor (OAC) meetings. • Process monthly subcontractor and owner pay applications. • Develop and maintain the project schedule using Lean principles and input from the team. • Identify potential schedule impacts (scope changes, weather, manpower) and implement mitigation plans. • Produce written documentation for decisions affecting budget, schedule, quality, safety, or legal matters. • Provide regular status and profitability reports to the project team. • Prepare monthly cost and margin forecasts and monitor budget performance. • Participate in project budgeting and highlight cost discrepancies for corrective action. • Direct the project close‑out process, including punch‑list completion, final financials, sub‑contract closeouts, and warranty documentation. • Interface with regional or company legal counsel as needed. • Utilize MS Office, advanced project‑management/accounting software, construction technology, and scheduling tools. • Apply Lean construction principles and process improvements. • Manage budgets to maximize profitability and generate future work through relationship building. • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external team members. • Travel, relocate, and work non‑traditional hours as project demands require. • Work in environments with extreme temperatures and perform varied physical activities.

What You Bring

The role requires a valid, unrestricted driver’s license, ability to lift up to 25 lb, and may involve travel, relocation, and non‑traditional hours to meet project needs. Work environments can include extreme temperatures and both office and field locations, with a mix of sitting, standing, walking and other physical activities. • Perform work accurately, completely, and timely. • Communicate effectively in both verbal and written form; deliver presentations. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Possess 5+ years of construction management experience. • Maintain a valid, unrestricted driver’s license and be able to lift up to 25 lb.
