About the Role
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (sales, scheduling, production, customer service, quality, sourcing, finance, shipping/receiving, engineering) to ensure effective supply chain operations. • Manage assigned commodities: plan, procure, and expedite components to meet sales and production schedules. • Maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure on‑time delivery via accurate purchase orders and schedule agreements. • Analyze MRP and SAP data to support inventory goals and supplier performance, generating reports and conducting root‑cause analysis. • Resolve Accounts Payable issues promptly to ensure timely supplier payments. • Address supplier quality concerns and coordinate returns for defective materials. • Support management with assigned projects as needed.

What You Bring
The Strategic Sourcing internship, part of the Summer 2026 Cohort (May 18 – August 14, 2026), is based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Interns will be immersed in project management, data analytics, operational execution, and contract document management while participating in various meetings and discussions for hands‑on learning. • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or operations with a minimum 3.0 GPA. • Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. • Strong decision‑making, problem‑solving, and communication skills. • Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment. • Self‑motivated, results‑focused, and capable of working independently and in teams.

Benefits
The program is designed for growth, offering the possibility of subsequent internships and deeper responsibility in sourcing, negotiating, and managing a broad contract portfolio across diverse suppliers and partners.
