About the Role
As an Electrical Building Engineer, you will support critical electrical operations that keep demanding data center and facility environments running seamlessly. The role offers the chance to develop advanced technical expertise while working alongside experienced professionals who are dedicated to your growth. • Conduct daily inspections of UPS systems, switchgear, and power distribution equipment. • Monitor electrical parameters and notify senior technicians of abnormal conditions. • Perform battery room inspections, including voltage, temperature, and safety assessments. • Execute routine electrical system checks and document readings per facility protocols. • Assist with battery maintenance under supervision while adhering to strict safety standards. • Support preventive maintenance of electrical distribution systems and maintain equipment labeling. • Participate in electrical troubleshooting activities under senior technician guidance. • Manage electrical work orders through CMMS and coordinate with vendors for maintenance tasks. • Respond promptly to electrical system alarms and incidents to ensure rapid resolution.

What You Bring
This on‑site position is located in Spartanburg, SC and does not provide visa sponsorship; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Both day‑shift and night‑shift schedules are available to meet operational needs. • Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with electrical systems in data centers or critical facilities. • Solid knowledge of AC/DC fundamentals, electrical safety principles, and basic troubleshooting. • Proficiency with electrical inspection procedures and measurement tools. • Strong verbal and written communication skills for accurate documentation and team collaboration. • Experience using MS Office, Google Workspace, and computerized maintenance management systems. • Physical ability to lift 50+ lb, climb ladders up to 30 ft, and perform demanding tasks. • Availability for emergency response calls, holidays, and varied schedules as needed. • Preferred: experience with CMMS platforms for maintenance management and work order processing. • Preferred: Universal EPA 608 certification and basic NFPA 70E electrical safety training. • Preferred: associate degree in electrical technology, engineering technology, or related field. • Preferred: hands‑on experience with UPS systems, emergency generators, and electrical distribution equipment.
