About the Role

In this role you will drive growth by shaping opportunities, leading holistic capture approaches, building robust Capture Plans with cross‑functional teams, maintaining a data‑driven pipeline, and influencing scope, delivery models and commercial structures early in the market. You will identify, negotiate and lead strategic partnerships, joint ventures and consortiums, defining partner roles and value contributions while representing AECOM in alliance discussions. Commercial oversight includes setting strategic direction for pricing, risk appetite and value proposition, providing senior challenge and assurance, and retaining accountability for overall commercial outcomes. Leadership responsibilities involve guiding bid teams, influencing internal stakeholders to align resources, communicating pursuit priorities across sectors, and ensuring compelling, compliant content from technical writers. • Lead capture and bid processes for £35m+ water projects from early positioning through post‑bid debriefs. • Develop and execute holistic Capture Plans with cross‑functional teams, leveraging market data and client insight. • Identify, negotiate and manage strategic partnerships, joint ventures and consortiums to strengthen bids. • Build and maintain senior‑level relationships with water utilities, regulators and public‑sector bodies. • Define commercial strategy, risk appetite and pricing to ensure profitable, differentiated proposals. • Provide strategic direction and assurance to bid teams, influencing senior stakeholders and resource allocation. • Drive pipeline growth by shaping opportunities, influencing scope and delivery models early in the market.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate will have a proven record of winning large water contracts, strong technical and delivery background, executive‑level credibility, commercial judgement, and deep knowledge of the UK water regulatory environment, as well as experience in partner‑led delivery models and matrix organisations. • Demonstrate a proven track record of winning large‑scale water contracts and leading multi‑disciplinary teams. • Possess strong technical background, commercial judgement and deep knowledge of the UK water regulatory environment. • Exhibit excellent communication and facilitation skills for workshops and executive engagements. • Experience in partner‑led delivery models such as alliances and joint ventures. • Ability to operate in matrix organisations and collaborate across bid management and delivery functions.
