About the Role

You will act as the Engineer with delegated authority, communicate directly with the Contractor, inspect construction activities, issue corrective orders, lead the supervision team, advise the Employer on variations and financial matters, and coordinate with design engineers, client/PMC and authorities. Safety oversight, reporting, site meetings, contract administration and record accuracy are also essential. • Serve as Engineer with delegated authority, directly accountable to the Employer during construction. • Communicate and coordinate with the Contractor, design engineers, client/PMC, and authorities. • Inspect construction activities and issue orders to correct non‑compliant work, materials, or equipment. • Lead and mentor the construction supervision team, including site engineers, inspectors, and surveyors. • Advise the Employer on variations, adjustments, financial matters, and recommend contractor payments and claims. • Oversee roadworks, utility diversions, traffic diversions, and related infrastructure, ensuring progress and quality. • Ensure safety goals are met, review HSE reports, and report accidents or near‑misses. • Convene regular site meetings, manage correspondence, approvals, and maintain accurate project records. • Participate in contract administration and other project responsibilities as needed. • Work for a globally recognized, digitally enabled solutions provider in defense, intelligence, and critical infrastructure.

What You Bring

Parsons is seeking a Resident Engineer (Road & Infrastructure) for Abu Dhabi / Al Dhafra region, UAE. The role involves planning, scheduling, supervising, and exercising administrative authority over all field engineering work. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s preferred) and a Ministry of Education equivalency certificate are required. Minimum 15 years of experience in road, infrastructure and utilities projects, preferably in the Gulf, with proven supervision of major projects. Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer registration, strong QA/QC expertise, contractual knowledge, and proficiency with engineering software are desired. Registration in Abu Dhabi, Arabic language skills and CAD proficiency are advantages. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s preferred) with Ministry of Education equivalency. • Minimum 15 years of engineering experience in roads, infrastructure, and utilities projects. • Proven supervision of major road and infrastructure projects, preferably in the Gulf region. • Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer registration (or similar professional membership). • Strong quality‑assurance and statistical quality‑control expertise. • Proficient in engineering and construction software; CAD and data‑management tools. • Registered practicing engineer in Abu Dhabi (advantageous) and Arabic speaker.
