Mortenson is currently seeking an ACE M+ Extern in our Denver office. Mortenson ACE Externs will have the opportunity to experience life on and off the construction project site with experience in the field as well as the office. Eligibility: Candidates must be a current ACE program participant considering a career in Construction, Engineering or Architecture, be at least 16 years old by the start of the externship, and be pursuing a four‑year undergraduate degree in fields such as Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Electrical Engineering, or Safety, Health and Environmental studies. Applicants need a minimum GPA of 3.0, the legal right to work in the U.S. without reliance on a student visa, and must be able to handle typical construction site conditions. Key skills include strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, problem‑solving, professional attitude, and customer service. Externs will be expected to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks while interacting professionally with staff at all levels. • Eight‑week externship starting in mid‑June • 30‑40 hours per week

Through an eight‑week rotation, your Externship is designed to offer you exposure to numerous field experiences at various exciting projects as well as several office‑based disciplines such as Virtual Design & Construction, Safety, Estimating, Project Accounting, Lean and others. You will work closely with an on‑site mentor and shadow people in several different roles and functions. Compensation: High‑school externs start at $17.50 per hour, with higher rates for college sophomores and above based on year in school. The program runs 30‑40 hours per week for eight weeks starting mid‑June, and includes a $2,000 annual scholarship, a competitive hourly rate, and consideration for future college externships. • Eligible for a $2,000 annual scholarship • Competitive hourly rate
