About the Role
As a Process Operator you will join Southern Water’s frontline operations team responsible for keeping wastewater treatment works and pumping stations running efficiently. The role is essential for maintaining regulatory compliance, protecting the environment and delivering a high level of service to customers. Day‑to‑day duties include testing and monitoring processes, performing routine maintenance such as clearing pumps, screens and valves, and repairing alarm systems. You will also collect and report data to support compliance, log activities in IT systems and ensure the site is kept clean in line with health‑and‑safety standards. • Perform compliance testing, monitoring and reporting for regulatory standards. • Carry out maintenance tasks such as unblocking pumps, screens, valves, and repairing alarm systems. • Use IT systems to log activities, ensure safety compliance and maintain site hygiene.

What You Bring
Applicants must possess a valid UK driving licence and be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. The ideal candidate is adaptable, reliable, self‑motivated, able to manage time effectively and work independently while being eager to learn complex processes. Benefits
The position is advertised with a closing date of 20 February 2026 and is based in Queenborough, Kent. Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and be prepared to travel across multiple sites. This is a permanent role, working 38 hours per week with additional standby duties, and offers a salary of up to £27,496 per annum.
