About the Role

We are looking for a Planning & Project Coordinator to oversee scheduling, procurement, and resource management across multiple project phases. The role involves developing project plans, monitoring progress, and maintaining clear communication with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution. Key responsibilities include creating detailed schedules with Microsoft Project, managing master construction timelines, and establishing effective project governance while controlling scope changes. The coordinator will also handle procurement guidance, resource allocation, financial monitoring, cost estimation, and preparation of progress reports and meeting documentation. Additional duties encompass identifying new business opportunities, supporting bid proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring quality control, safety standards, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle. The role may require occasional extended hours to meet project demands. • Develop detailed project plans and schedules using Microsoft Project. • Monitor and update the master construction schedule to align with contractor agreements. • Establish project governance and manage change control to prevent scope creep. • Coordinate procurement, long‑lead item sourcing, and material deliveries to avoid delays. • Track project finances, prepare accurate cost estimates, and review tender documents for consistency. • Prepare and distribute formal progress reports, meeting agendas, and minutes of meetings. • Conduct test‑fits and space‑optimization layouts, ensuring design and construction alignment. • Address site delays, emergencies, and manage risk to meet time, cost, and performance targets. • Identify new business opportunities, support bid proposals, and contribute to marketing efforts. • Negotiate contracts, ensure cost‑effective agreements, and enforce quality and safety standards.

What You Bring

Candidates should hold a diploma or bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural fields and possess advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Project; AutoCAD knowledge is a plus. Strong communication, critical‑thinking, problem‑solving, basic financial understanding, and familiarity with Tamil and Malayalam are preferred, with experience in Tamil Nadu or Kerala considered an advantage. • Hold a diploma or degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural disciplines. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project; AutoCAD knowledge is a plus. • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving skills. • Possess basic financial knowledge for budgeting and cost estimation. • Familiarity with Tamil and Malayalam preferred; experience in Tamil Nadu/Kerala advantageous. • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work extended hours when required.
