What You Bring
The role is for an experienced Test Automation Engineer who will join an Agile engineering team developing mission‑critical applications for the space community. Based in Colorado Springs, the position requires a minimum of two days per week in the office and involves close collaboration with software engineers and space analysts to ensure software accuracy, integrity, and stability. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent experience) and have at least five years of software engineering or test automation experience. They should understand various testing types, communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical audiences, and be proficient in Java, scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell, and unit testing frameworks like JUnit. Additional preferred qualifications include knowledge of space command‑and‑control concepts, UI automation experience with Selenium, and familiarity with Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, and SQL. Holding a Security+ certification or being willing to obtain one, as well as possessing a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, are also advantageous. An active Secret security clearance is required, and a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is preferred. The position is part of Parsons’ Federal Solutions team, which provides resources and expertise to U.S. government customers across defense, security, intelligence, infrastructure, and environmental domains. • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years in software engineering or test automation. • Proficient in Java and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash). • Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit. • Familiar with CI/CD tools (Git, GitLab, Jenkins) and build automation. • Strong communication skills for technical and non‑technical audiences. • Active Secret security clearance; Top Secret with SCI eligibility preferred. • Knowledge of space C2 concepts and terminology is a plus. • Experience with UI automation using Selenium. • Familiarity with Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, and SQL queries. • Security+ certification or willingness to obtain one.
