About the Role
The Building Maintenance Technician assists with operation troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties. This role supports the overall functionality and safety of the facilities. The technician must respond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests, inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions, and maintain fire and life safety systems. Additionally, they must comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives while practicing safe work habits. • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems, including packaging and handling machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop and grounds equipment, and HVAC • Clean, lubricate, and service a wide variety of pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices • Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems • Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and paint walls, piping, floors, and equipment • Troubleshoot, evaluate, and recommend upgrades to maintenance operations or implement savings opportunities • Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests as assigned • Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and perform preventative maintenance • Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems, including fire alarm systems, fire pumps, and related fire protection equipment • Perform carpentry and snow removal when necessary • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency requirements, and company directives while practicing safe work habits • Use technology such as smartphones, tablets, computers, web‑based applications, and building automation systems • Complete all required C&W safety training annually • Comply with C&W uniform dress code and maintain a neat, clean appearance while on the property

What You Bring
Work is performed in a professional office environment using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Physical demands include regular communication, computer operation, moving about the workplace, and occasional standing, reaching, and extending arms. • Possess competent knowledge of tools and equipment used in facility and ground maintenance • Technical Proficiency • Multi‑Tasking • Sense of Urgency • High School Diploma or GED equivalent • 2+ years of related experience in a commercial property setting • Technical, vocational or on‑the‑job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license (commercial license may be required) with a good driving record • Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word

Compensation for this position ranges from $27.20 to $32.00 per hour, with pay determined by factors such as location, experience, and collective bargaining agreements.
