About the Role
As a Driver/Operator you will safely operate a heavy‑duty truck on transfer routes, transporting containers between locations. The role involves following all safety and regulatory requirements while delivering reliable service. The driver must conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report and keep the vehicle clean and safe. Unsafe situations, incidents, or service calls are reported immediately to the Operations Manager or Dispatch. You will communicate customer requests, dump and position containers properly, clean the site, and submit any necessary tickets. Throughout the day you follow assigned routes, complete required documentation, and assist other drivers as directed. • Operate a heavy‑duty truck safely following OSHA, DOT, and company standards. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections using DVIR and report any issues. • Immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, and service calls. • Communicate customer requests and issues to dispatch or the Operations Manager. • Dump containers, clean the site, position containers correctly, and submit tickets as needed. • Follow assigned routes, complete documentation, and assist other drivers when directed.

What You Bring
No formal education or prior experience is required, but a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL‑B) and a minimum age of 18 are mandatory. Candidates must pass a pre‑employment DOT drug screen, physical, background check, and retain an acceptable driving record. The role may require travel by air or access to federal property, so candidates must have a REAL ID or an acceptable TSA‑approved alternative, or be willing to obtain one. WM drivers are professional, well‑trained, and home each night and weekend, contributing to clean, safe communities.
