About the Role
Key responsibilities include designing and implementing SCADA solutions for warehouse automation and building management, creating HMI/SCADA interfaces for real‑time monitoring, and integrating field devices using protocols like Modbus, BACnet, OPC, MQTT, and Ethernet/IP. The engineer will work closely with controls, electrical, and IT teams, maintain comprehensive documentation, and support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting throughout deployment and post‑installation phases. The role also demands ensuring cybersecurity compliance, monitoring system performance to improve reliability and efficiency, assisting with data analytics and reporting for building and warehouse operations, and participating in continuous‑improvement initiatives while evaluating emerging SCADA and automation technologies. • Design and implement SCADA systems for warehouse automation and building management. • Develop HMI/SCADA screens and interfaces for real‑time monitoring, alarming, and visualization. • Integrate SCADA with PLCs, sensors, actuators using Modbus, BACnet, OPC, MQTT, Ethernet/IP. • Collaborate with controls, electrical, and IT teams to ensure seamless hardware and enterprise integration. • Create and maintain architecture diagrams, I/O lists, tag databases, and control narratives. • Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting during deployment and post‑installation. • Apply cybersecurity standards and best practices in SCADA design and operation. • Monitor system performance and implement optimizations for reliability and efficiency. • Assist with data analytics, trend analysis, and reporting for building and warehouse operations. • Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives and evaluate emerging automation technologies.

What You Bring
Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science or a related field, and 3–7 years of experience in SCADA system design, development, and maintenance. Candidates must have proven experience with warehouse automation technologies, familiarity with building automation systems, hands‑on expertise with SCADA platforms such as Ignition or Wonderware, proficiency in communication protocols, solid networking knowledge, and skills in HMI/GUI development and scripting. Preferred experience comprises work in high‑throughput warehouses or automated logistics, data‑center SCADA exposure, knowledge of industry standards (ISA, NFPA, IEC, ASHRAE), cloud‑based SCADA/IoT and edge computing, database and analytics tools, and relevant professional certifications.
