About the Role
The role’s primary responsibility is to notify customers of delinquent accounts and solicit payment. The incumbent will receive payments and post them to the customer’s account while maintaining accurate records of collection activities and account status. Under limited supervision, the employee may modify processes to resolve situations and relies on experience and independent judgment to achieve desired outcomes. The work often involves interpreting procedures and policies, with periodic review by a supervisor or direct customers, and may include providing guidance, training, and technical assistance to junior staff. • Perform a wide variety of credit and collection functions for larger or more complex accounts. • Ensure compliance with guidelines, review credit sources, files, customer applications, and delinquent accounts. • Compile and maintain basic credit information on customers’ financial status and collection efforts. • Maintain records on credit risks, delinquent accounts, and incomplete files.

What You Bring
The position is based in a comfortable indoor area; occasional unpleasant conditions are infrequent. Most of the time is spent sitting or standing in the same location, with occasional stooping or lifting of light material (under 8 lb). Travel is minimal, typically less than 10 % overnight. Technical certification or an associate degree may be required in some areas, and candidates generally need five to seven years of relevant experience. The role prefers candidates with B2B credit and collections expertise, knowledge of construction industry lien and bond rights, and intermediate Excel skills.
