About the Role

Key duties include reading and interpreting blueprints and shop orders, selecting and securing tooling and fixtures, adjusting machine controls, positioning and clamping workpieces, and monitoring machine operation to make necessary adjustments. The operator also inspects and measures finished parts, labels and stores them, documents any deviations from specifications, and performs all Class I and II tasks while handling any additional assignments. • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specs, and shop orders to determine machine setup. • Select, position, and secure tooling, fixtures, stops, guides, and turntables on the machine. • Adjust controls for pressure, ram stroke depth, blade angle, machine speed, and other machining factors. • Locate and mark bending or cutting lines on workpieces and align them with dies or blades. • Start the machine, monitor operation, and make adjustments for multiple or successive passes. • Inspect and measure finished parts, label them, and move them to proper storage locations. • Document deviations from prints or specifications and take corrective action. • Perform all Class I and II jobs as required. • Operate a forklift after obtaining a company‑issued license.

What You Bring

Applicants should have at least a high school diploma or GED, be able to read and write simple English, perform basic math calculations, apply common‑sense reasoning, and possess basic computer skills. A forklift license is required, and the role carries no supervisory responsibilities. The work environment is noisy and includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, vibration, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lb. Employees are expected to stand, walk, climb, stoop, and lift regularly, and to actively participate in high‑performance team activities. • Use basic computer skills for data entry and equipment documentation. • Maintain effective written and verbal communication in English. • Apply basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, rates, percentages). • Demonstrate common‑sense reasoning to follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
