About the Role
Planning Engineers are responsible for preparing and periodically reporting Level 1 and Level 2 schedules, supporting project teams with all planning‑related contract and reporting duties, and participating in project and programme planning meetings. They also identify and maintain programme milestones and schedule interface activities. Key challenges include supporting the planning and scheduling processes required to manage contracts and contractor schedules, maintaining up‑to‑date schedule interface requirements, and adhering to NEC contract procedures for schedule data submissions. Engineers must stay aware of commitments to avoid breaches and ensure accurate progress reporting. • Prepare and regularly update Level 1 and Level 2 project schedules using Primavera P6. • Produce progress reports and support contract reporting requirements. • Assist project teams with planning tasks and attend programme planning and progress meetings. • Identify and manage programme milestones and schedule interface activities. • Maintain accurate schedule interface data and ensure compliance with NEC contract processes. • Monitor commitments to prevent contractual breaches.

What You Bring
The firm is seeking experienced P6 Planners / Planning Engineers for its London office, focusing on infrastructure sectors such as rail, airports, roads, power, water, utilities and defence. Candidates will join a leading consultancy that provides industry‑leading services to infrastructure clients. Ideal candidates hold a degree in a construction‑related discipline (preferred) and have proven experience in planning and scheduling for infrastructure projects. They must demonstrate strong oral and written communication, be proficient with PC operating systems, Microsoft Office, and Primavera P6, and possess intermediate knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction and start‑up processes. • Hold a degree in a construction‑related discipline (preferred) and demonstrate infrastructure planning experience. • Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills. • Proficient in Primavera P6, Microsoft Office, and other discipline‑specific software. • Possess intermediate knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, and construction processes.
