About the Role

A Driver with a Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck, providing prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services, and ensuring the vehicle complies with company safety standards and regulations at all times. Key duties include performing thorough pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections, following assigned routes and maps to service each customer, operating manual or automatic controls to load, compact, and dispose of waste, and interacting professionally with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers. The driver must monitor waste containers for issues, tag unsatisfactory containers, clean up accidental spills according to safety policies, keep the vehicle clean and operational, and complete required route, productivity, and vehicle condition reports while adhering to productivity standards and safety procedures.
