About the Role

The role involves deployment, configuration, and support of hardware, client operating systems, and productivity software for end users. Supported hardware includes online PCs, peripherals, non‑networked PCs, OT systems (I4.0), hand scanners, MFD and label printers, plotters, switches, wireless access points, virtual machines, UPS units, R&D labs, and mobile phones. The incumbent also assists with site‑based IT systems and contributes to IT process improvements for manufacturing equipment. The employee participates in troubleshooting large IT issues, root‑cause analysis, and problem management, as well as internal audits of IT processes, procedures, software, and systems. Additional responsibilities include involvement in inventory, risk assessment, and profit‑planning processes, and the ability to lead a technical team with minimal supervision to derive insights from complex data sets. • Deploy, configure, and support end‑user hardware, operating systems, and productivity software. • Support a wide range of equipment including PCs, peripherals, OT systems, scanners, printers, plotters, network devices, VMs, UPS, labs, and mobile phones. • Assist site‑based IT systems and advise on processes for manufacturing equipment. • Troubleshoot complex IT issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and manage problems. • Conduct internal audits of IT processes, procedures, software, and systems. • Contribute to inventory management, risk assessment, and profit‑planning activities. • Lead technical teams with minimal supervision and analyze complex data to improve metrics.

What You Bring

Required qualifications are a college diploma or university degree in IT or a related field and a minimum of four years’ IT experience. Candidates must have experience with IT Service Management (ITIL) across asset, incident, request, problem, and change management, strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office, and familiarity with hardware, networking, servers, storage, and phone systems, including manufacturing‑specific equipment. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship, be willing to work onsite in Edmonton, AB, and have experience leading IT initiatives across an organization. • Hold a diploma or degree in IT (or related) and at least 4 years of relevant experience. • Experience with ITIL practices: asset, incident, request, problem, and change management. • Proficient in Microsoft Windows OS and Office suite; knowledgeable of hardware, networking, servers, storage, and phone systems. • Familiar with manufacturing equipment such as barcode scanners, specialized printers, industrial PCs, and RF scanners. • Eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship; onsite work required in Edmonton, AB. • Proven track record leading IT initiatives across an organization.
