About the Role

In this position the engineer will provide technical and administrative support across design, procurement and construction, manage RFIs and change orders, and ensure change‑management processes clearly define scope, cost and schedule. Responsibilities also include leading design‑phase meetings, reviewing drawings for industry compliance, maintaining the document‑control library, coordinating with architects and contractors, identifying and mitigating risks, monitoring the project schedule, preparing status reports and enforcing safety procedures. SOX control responsibilities may also be required. • Provide technical and administrative support for design, procurement, and construction phases. • Manage RFIs and change orders, maintaining accurate records. • Support change‑management to define scope, cost, and schedule. • Lead internal and external meetings during engineering design. • Review design drawings for industry‑standard conformance and resolve engineering comments. • Maintain a document‑control library and update project documentation. • Communicate with stakeholders and adjust plans to meet contractual obligations. • Coordinate with architects and contractors to ensure legal and regulatory compliance. • Identify risks and develop mitigation plans; maintain project risk database. • Monitor project schedule, coordinate activities, and resolve issues. • Prepare status reports by analyzing information and recommending actions. • Enforce safety procedures to maintain a clean working environment. • Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable. • Influence and coach team members to achieve results. • Apply OSHA industrial safety practices (hot work, confined space, LOTO, etc.).

What You Bring

Candidates must have strong analytical and process‑focused skills, tenacity, and the ability to lead change. Required technical competencies include AutoCAD, Primavera or MS Project, and Procore or Documentum. Effective verbal and written communication, coaching ability, problem‑solving, and a solid understanding of OSHA safety practices are essential, as is a commitment to compliance with laws, regulations and company policies. A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and 10‑15 years of EPC experience on large oil/gas, chemical or hazardous capital projects are required. The ideal applicant has a proven track record supporting major equipment and systems, strong attention to detail, and extensive project‑engineering background. The role requires global travel, a valid driver’s license, proficiency with PPE, and strong PC skills for word processing, spreadsheets, databases and scheduling tools. Physical demands include working both in an office and on construction sites, standing for several hours, lifting up to 75 lb, climbing ladders or equipment, passing a respirator fit test, and operating in confined spaces and extreme weather conditions. • Demonstrate strong analytical, process‑focused, and problem‑solving abilities. • Proficient in AutoCAD, Primavera/MS Project, and Procore/Documentum. • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing; prepare clear reports. • Hold a BS in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (or equivalent). • 10–15 years EPC experience on large oil/gas, chemical, or hazardous capital projects. • Proven track record supporting major equipment and systems engineering. • Ability to travel globally and maintain a valid driver’s license. • Proficient with PC, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and scheduling software. • Skilled in using and maintaining required personal protective equipment (PPE). • Capable of standing for several hours, lifting up to 75 lb, and climbing ladders/equipment. • Qualified to pass respirator fit test, work in confined spaces, and operate in extreme climates.
