About the Role
In this position you will ensure client sites remain fully operational by performing a variety of repairs, maintenance tasks and defect resolutions while traveling between locations. You will deliver quality workmanship, aim for first‑time fixes and provide excellent customer service, independently managing tasks across several trades such as plastering, carpentry, flooring, tiling, lock changes and general repairs. • Deliver quality workmanship and first‑time fixes where possible • Provide excellent customer service to maintain client satisfaction • Independently manage maintenance tasks across multiple trades (patch plastering, carpentry, floor coverings, wall tiling, lock changes, general repairs)

Arcus FM is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician in the Luton area to join its dynamic facilities maintenance team. The role involves delivering both planned preventative and reactive maintenance across multiple client sites, providing a fast‑paced environment focused on high‑quality service. The successful candidate will have time‑served experience across multiple maintenance trades, a full valid UK driver’s licence and the confidence to work independently in customer‑facing settings. Proficiency with handheld IT equipment for work management, strong communication skills, reliability, a solid understanding of health and safety standards, and a good work ethic are essential. Relevant qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds or BTEC and experience in a multi‑site retail maintenance environment are desirable. • Time‑served experience across multiple trades in a maintenance role • Full valid UK driver’s licence • Confidence working independently and in customer‑facing environments • Comfortable using handheld IT equipment for work management and documentation • Strong communication skills, reliability and good work ethic • Solid knowledge of health & safety standards and regulations • NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent in a building or maintenance‑related trade (desirable) • Experience in a multi‑site retail maintenance environment (desirable) • On‑call rota: 1 in every 4 weeks
