Co-op engineering role supporting maintenance, projects, data analysis and process improvement.

About the Role
You will be embedded in the maintenance department, collaborating with the maintenance engineer, mechanical/electrical superintendents, and managers. Responsibilities include interfacing with foremen, electricians, and mechanics to execute technical projects, leading process‑improvement and reliability studies, and preparing basic design or engineering reports. You will also engage internal and external stakeholders to deliver capital projects and document system performance specifications. • Collaborate with maintenance engineer, superintendents, and managers on technical projects. • Coordinate with electrical/mechanical foremen, electricians, and mechanics to execute tasks. • Lead process improvement, automated data retrieval, and reliability studies. • Prepare basic design and engineering reports as required. • Engage internal and external stakeholders to complete capital projects. • Perform engineering assessments and produce reports/proposals for infrastructure. • Recommend process improvements while ensuring code and industry standard compliance. • Gather documentation from suppliers and OEMs. • Support analysis activities and adopt best design practices. • Document system performance specifications.

What You Bring
The candidate must be currently enrolled in an engineering program and possess strong analytical, problem‑solving, and judgment skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, a passion for data analysis, system automation, and continuous improvement, as well as some coding experience are required.
