Programme Lead - Early Works

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Lead to join our Heathrow team on a permanent basis. As Programme Lead you will be required to manage teams of senior direct reports, demonstrating effective leadership to ensure excellence in delivery against plans, championing a continuous improvement culture throughout all activities. • Manage coordination and delivery of a major programme, providing strategic direction and monitoring alignment with vision and objectives. • Define and implement the programme delivery environment, covering people, organisation, process, information and technology. • Assemble the right project team with appropriate skills, experience, capabilities and technical competence, including external specialists. • Improve performance from the bid baseline by optimising resources and evaluating activities, systems and methodologies. • Act as the public face of the programme to external stakeholders and chair executive steering group meetings. • Maintain exceptional standards in safety, quality, cost, sustainability, governance, risk, stakeholder management and compliance. • Oversee development and maintenance of programme documentation such as processes, procedures, plans, reports, registers and lessons learned. • Create and nurture a high‑performing, inclusive team environment that encourages contribution and recognition. • Convey the wider business strategy to the programme team and promote associated initiatives. • Ensure operations are commercially and ethically viable, supporting business objectives and meeting legislative compliance. • Safety first – champion a safe, diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone goes home safe and well. • Client focus – own the quality of deliverables, strategic outcomes and build long‑term client relationships. • Create opportunity – foster continuous improvement and inspire people to develop and excel.
