About the Role
As a Sr. CATIA Designer on the Outdoor Group, you will create and refine 2D drawings and 3D models for medium‑format mower and snow product platforms. You will translate engineering concepts into detailed CAD geometry, maintain accurate PLM data, and ensure compliance with GD&T and best‑practice standards. • Design and modify 2D drawings and 3D part models using CATIA for new product development. • Create and maintain complex 3D assembly layouts and associated bill of materials. • Manage part revision status and documentation within the PLM system (Teamcenter/Windchill). • Apply GD&T standards and enforce CAD best practices across all deliverables. • Document and share CAD standards to ensure consistency throughout the department. • Support engineering teams during prototype builds to assess design impact. • Mentor junior designers and engineers in effective CATIA usage. • Collaborate with engineers, industrial designers, and manufacturing personnel, communicating clearly both verbally and in writing. • Model components for various manufacturing methods, including injection molding, stamped steel, and weldments.
