About the Role

The Porter assists with corrective, preventative, routine, and cosmetic maintenance, as well as the make‑ready process, working under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager. • Perform daily cleaning, trash removal, and upkeep of interior and exterior common areas. • Respond promptly to resident and management work orders for buildings, units, and grounds. • Conduct daily inspections to identify and correct hazardous conditions. • Assist in preventive maintenance to extend property lifespan and reduce future repairs. • Maintain an organized, stocked maintenance shop following OSHA safety standards. • Support the Maintenance Supervisor with hazard communication and safe work practices. • Participate in unit inspections and on‑call emergency response. • Deliver excellent customer service and monitor service request turnaround times. • Enforce community policies and report rule violations to management. • Operate required equipment, including ladders, power tools, and motor‑vehicles safely. • Meet physical demands such as lifting 100+ lb objects and working in varied weather conditions.
