About the Role
• Install, alter, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechatronic equipment in a fulfillment/distribution center. • Follow all health and safety policies while shadowing technical advisors. • Work with material‑transfer conveyors, PLCs, and robotic systems under supervision. • Use technical documentation and computer tools to diagnose and resolve malfunctions. • Perform scheduled, predictive, and preventive maintenance on high‑performance manufacturing systems.

The Mechatronics Junior Technician Apprentice program offers a comprehensive classroom, laboratory, and on‑the‑job learning experience to install, alter, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic, mechanical, computer, control, and robotics/automation equipment in a complex fulfillment/distribution center. Apprentices follow health and safety policies, shadow technical advisors, and develop skills in material transfer conveyors, PLCs, and robotic systems. Apprentices work with technical documentation and computers both in school and on the shop floor, learning to identify and correct malfunctions under the guidance of experienced advisors. As they progress, they combine electronic, mechanical, computer, and control skills to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair high‑performance manufacturing systems, ensuring process efficiency and safety. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, hold a high school diploma or GED, pass a Mechanical Aptitude Test, and be able to travel for a 12‑week training at sites in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina, or Texas. Preferred qualifications include at least one year of preventive maintenance experience, familiarity with mechanical/electrical components, compressors, and pneumatics. Physical demands involve repetitive bending, lifting up to 49 lb, standing on concrete for long shifts, and working in cramped or noisy environments. • Meet minimum age (18+), high school diploma/GED, and Mechanical Aptitude Test score; travel for 12‑week training. • Preferred: 1+ year experience in preventive maintenance, mechanical/electrical components, compressors, and pneumatics. • Physical ability to lift 20–49 lb, bend, crouch, stand 10+ hours, and work in confined or noisy spaces.
