About the Role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will develop deep knowledge in a specific practice area, evaluate and apply standard engineering techniques for conventional projects, and adapt methods for non‑routine tasks. You will lead small projects or portions of larger ones, review technical output of team members, influence team and department decisions, and represent the organization in engineering communications. The role requires independent judgment, innovation, and the ability to implement significant design and workflow improvements. You will supervise and mentor junior engineers, lead discipline‑specific teams, and serve as a technical expert within the department. • Apply standard engineering techniques to conventional projects and adapt methods for non‑routine tasks. • Lead small projects or project segments and review technical output of team members. • Influence team and department decisions and represent the organization in engineering communications. • Implement design and workflow improvements through independent judgment and innovation. • Supervise, mentor, and coach junior engineers; lead discipline‑specific teams.

What You Bring
Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or an associate degree with ABET/EAC‑accredited experience), 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience, and proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, NX, or AutoCAD. Candidates must possess strong engineering principles, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to supervise others. Preferred experience includes prior work with JR Automation or the broader automation industry. Travel up to 25 % of the time, including overnight and international trips, is expected. Candidates must successfully complete a 10‑panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check. • Hold a Bachelor’s (or associate) degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET/EAC‑accredited program. • Bring 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience and strong CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, Creo, NX, AutoCAD). • Possess advanced engineering knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve common problems. • Prefer prior experience in automation or with JR Automation. • Travel up to 25 % of the time, including overnight and international assignments. • Complete required drug screening, physical exam, and background check.
