About the Role
The role will lead the definition and implementation of comprehensive ISO 19650 information‑management frameworks, work directly with senior client stakeholders and digital delivery teams to align strategic objectives, and establish quality‑management and governance processes for digital information delivery. The incumbent will also represent AECOM at senior stakeholder meetings and industry forums as a thought leader in digital infrastructure delivery. In the Information Management track the successful candidate will develop and maintain the ISO 19650 documentation suite (EIR, BEP, MIDP, TIDP, etc.), configure and manage Common Data Environment systems, support other Information Managers in CDE alignment, ensure adoption of the project CDE across all elements, own BIM Execution Plans, and manage Master Information Delivery Plans while assessing team capacity and overseeing delivery assurance. The BIM Delivery track responsibilities include implementing BIM and digital delivery processes such as 3D/4D/5D integration, evaluating and deploying digital tools for Modern Methods of Construction, supporting BIM verification for engineering, consenting and construction, integrating data, systems and processes, customizing software tools (including CAD‑GIS integration), and providing technical support for immersive visualisation, VR/AR and 3D graphics applications. Leadership duties involve establishing training programmes and communication materials to ensure consistent delivery standards, identifying new business opportunities within digital information management and BIM services, leading proposal development for digital delivery components of major bids, and driving innovation and R&D activities to maintain AECOM’s competitive advantage. • Define and implement ISO 19650 information‑management frameworks for major infrastructure programmes. • Create and maintain ISO 19650 documentation (EIR, BEP, MIDP, TIDP) and ensure compliance. • Configure and oversee Common Data Environment (CDE) systems, facilitating proper information exchange. • Lead BIM Execution Plan development and coordinate with GIS and BIM specialists. • Manage Master Information Delivery Plans and assess delivery team capacity. • Implement BIM and digital delivery processes, including 3D/4D/5D integration. • Evaluate and deploy digital tools supporting Modern Methods of Construction (MMC). • Support BIM verification for engineering, consenting and construction workflows. • Develop and customise software tools, including CAD‑GIS integration and immersive visualisation (VR/AR). • Provide technical support for BIM software, digital engineering technologies and 3D graphics applications. • Establish training programmes and communication materials to maintain delivery standards. • Identify and develop new business opportunities in digital information management and BIM services. • Lead proposal development for digital delivery components of major infrastructure bids. • Drive innovation and R&D initiatives to sustain AECOM’s competitive advantage.

What You Bring
These are senior‑level positions that require deep expertise in programme‑level data and interface management or BIM/CAD delivery following ISO 19650 best practices. The most advanced candidates will lead the strategic implementation of digital information‑management frameworks and advanced BIM processes across major infrastructure programmes, driving digital transformation and establishing new standards of delivery excellence. The minimum qualifications include extensive information‑management experience on major infrastructure programmes, a degree in engineering, architecture or a related technical discipline, proven expertise in ISO 19650 implementation and CDE management, advanced knowledge of digital engineering solutions (BIM, GIS, 4D/5D, emerging technologies), and a track record of interfacing with senior client stakeholders and delivering against NEC/FIDIC frameworks. Desirable credentials include chartered status (RICS, ICE, BCS, CIOB), ISO 19650 Lead Implementer certification, strong commercial awareness, project‑management certifications (APM, PMI), business‑development experience, published thought leadership, and specific experience in energy transmission/distribution infrastructure and emerging technologies such as AI/ML, VR/AR and digital twins. The successful candidate will be self‑motivated, capable of working autonomously, committed, eager to learn and able to thrive in a dynamic, deadline‑driven team environment. Employment is conditional on meeting UK security‑clearance requirements, which are required for the full range of projects at AECOM Infrastructure and Environment UK Limited. • Required qualifications: extensive IM experience on large infrastructure programmes, degree in engineering/architecture, ISO 19650 implementation expertise, digital engineering knowledge (BIM, GIS, 4D/5D), CDE platform experience, understanding of COBie/IFC standards, stakeholder management, familiarity with NEC/FIDIC frameworks. • Desirable credentials: chartered status (RICS, ICE, BCS, CIOB), ISO 19650 Lead Implementer certification, commercial awareness, project‑management certifications (APM, PMI), business‑development experience, published thought leadership, energy transmission/distribution expertise, AI/ML, VR/AR and digital twin experience.
