Job Highlights
About the Role
• Operate vehicle in compliance with WM safety rules, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable laws. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and complete the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report. • Immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, or property damage to the Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Attend all required training programs, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to improve route efficiency and share best practices. • Notify management of service interruptions such as closed streets, heavy receptacles, or safety hazards. • Communicate customer requests to Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Ensure all receptacles are fully emptied and the site is left clean and free of debris. • Follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day documentation, and check‑out procedures. • Assist fellow drivers as directed to meet customer needs.

What You Bring
Drivers handle heavy‑duty trucks equipped with lift attachments, transporting waste or recyclable containers that can exceed 1,000 pounds. Depending on the line of business, they may perform commercial, residential, or roll‑off routes, navigating high‑traffic roads, alleys, driveways, and tight industrial environments. Skilled backing maneuvers and safe handling of containers are essential to the role.
