About the Role

The Senior Project Manager reports to the Project Director and leads complex workstreams on major infrastructure projects within the Environment and Water Portfolio, serving clients such as Scottish Water and Uisce Éireann. The role shapes the direction of the growing project management team, drives service‑delivery innovation and provides mature programme and project advice to integrated clients. The Senior Project Manager ensures overall delivery and stakeholder alignment for the water‑related portfolio, overseeing performance, communication and commercial governance. • Deliver commission obligations and internal project performance. • Build and manage strong relationships with senior client representatives. • Establish effective communications across project delivery, client and stakeholder teams. • Lead problem solving and decision making. • Provide team leadership, resource planning and management. • Control internal and external commercial aspects of projects across various contractual arrangements.

What You Bring

Candidates are expected to hold an engineering or project management degree, be members of a professional body such as APM, PMI, RICS or CIOB, and possess substantial project management experience, including leadership of multidisciplinary teams and strong commercial acumen. NEC3/4 contract experience and a full driving licence are also required. Additional essential criteria include broad public‑sector experience and extensive contract administration experience. • Engineering or Project Management degree or equivalent experience. • Member of APM, PMI, RICS or CIOB (ideally chartered or working towards chartership, ChPP). • Substantial project management expertise and experience leading project teams to successful outcomes. • Full driving licence. • Strong client and stakeholder relationship‑building skills. • Effective communication with clients, project teams, business managers and other units. • High commercial acumen and knowledge of planning and project controls. • NEC3/4 contract experience. • Proven adaptable leadership skills. • Broad public‑sector experience. • Significant experience administering a wide range of contracts. • Commitment to continuing professional development (accredited by Engineers Ireland).
