About the Role

The Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (M&E) Engineer will report to the Assistant Manager Engineering or Engineering Manager and will work closely with IFM, the Chief Engineer and a team of vendor staff. The role supports the management of all M&E installations and civil maintenance within the Hyderabad facility, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with client and company standards. Key responsibilities include supporting the manager in overseeing M&E and civil maintenance, preparing critical spares lists and managing inventory, and implementing a preventive maintenance programme to reduce equipment failures. The engineer will review contractor service practices, maintain logbooks, checklists and PPM schedules, manage downtime and breakdowns, and arrange ad‑hoc M&E setups as required. Additional duties involve ensuring contractors follow house rules, assuming AFM responsibilities when needed, conducting daily facility walk‑arounds, and leading the engineering team to meet best‑practice service standards. The position is on‑site in Hyderabad, Telangana, with a scheduled 48‑hour work week. Daily reporting on M&E performance, service maintenance, inventory and purchasing of spares, as well as incident reporting for downtime, will be provided to the Assistant Engineering Manager or Engineering Manager. • Support the Assistant Manager/Engineering Manager in overseeing M&E installations and civil maintenance. • Prepare critical spares lists per manufacturer recommendations and manage inventory for in‑house maintenance. • Implement and supervise a preventive maintenance programme to minimize equipment failures. • Review M&E contractor service practices with the Chief Engineer to ensure quality and compliance. • Maintain logbooks, checklists and PPM schedules for all M&E systems. • Manage equipment downtime and breakdowns, generating incident reports. • Arrange ad‑hoc M&E setups as required by the client. • Ensure contractors adhere to house rules and minimize client inconvenience. • Assume AFM responsibilities and independently handle shift‑level engineering matters when needed. • Conduct daily facility walk‑arounds and oversee team performance. • Ensure service provision meets or exceeds contractual best practices. • Enforce policies, procedures and compliance deadlines as directed by the Operations Manager. • Provide daily M&E reporting, service maintenance reports, and inventory/purchasing records for spares and consumables.
