About the Role
The Business Analyst role is a 12‑month fixed‑term position within the Business Improvement Team of Australia Defence & Security Solutions (ADSS). The analyst will lead business analysis and change strategy activities, translating business needs into functional and non‑functional requirements and supporting digital transformation initiatives that improve operational efficiency and user experience. Working closely with Change and Digital Transformation Specialists, the analyst will utilise tools such as UiPath, Nintex, Power Platform and Power BI to design, test and roll out automated workflows and data‑driven solutions. The position emphasizes continuous improvement, collaboration and stakeholder engagement across a geographically dispersed organisation. • Lead business analysis to assess current state, define future-state processes and develop enterprise change strategies. • Translate business needs into requirements, user stories, process maps and support solution design, testing and deployment. • Build strong stakeholder relationships, facilitate workshops and co‑design sessions to gather and validate requirements. • Conduct impact, readiness and risk assessments, providing recommendations for change and training interventions. • Create communication artefacts, visual presentations and training materials to support adoption and reinforce new behaviours. • Champion continuous improvement, identify automation opportunities and maintain a Change Management Community of Practice. • Develop reporting frameworks and dashboards to measure performance, benefit realisation and adoption rates.

What You Bring
Essential qualifications include proven experience as a Business Analyst in digital transformation or continuous improvement, strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, and familiarity with workflow automation tools. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, be highly organised and adaptable, and ideally hold Prosci ADKAR or similar change‑management certification. • Proven Business Analyst experience in digital transformation or continuous improvement. • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and data‑interpretation skills. • Experience with UiPath, Nintex, Power Automate, Power Apps or Power BI. • Ability to facilitate workshops, gather requirements and produce clear documentation. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all organisational levels. • Highly organised, proactive and adaptable to shifting priorities. • Desirable: Prosci ADKAR or other change‑management certification; Lean Six Sigma, Agile or Design Thinking exposure; experience in defence or large‑scale environments; eligibility for Australian Government security clearance.
