About the Role
The role involves assembling and soldering electrical and electromechanical components for both military and commercial aerospace programs, reporting to the Production Supervisor/Manager in Skydrol. Key duties include building surface‑mount and through‑hole assemblies, crimping and soldering connectors, performing lock‑wire and potting operations, and conducting visual inspections to ensure quality. The technician must read blueprints and work instructions, use a variety of hand and precision tools, keep tooling calibrated, and maintain a clean and safe workspace while collaborating with teammates. • Assemble, solder, and repair routine electrical and electro‑mechanical assemblies for customers such as Vertex, Gulfstream, Raytheon, and Boeing. • Interpret blueprints, verbal, and written instructions to produce accurate sub‑assemblies and final products. • Perform crimping, lock‑wire installation, potting, and visual inspection, handling defective parts per established procedures. • Utilize hand tools—including air drivers, crimpers, micrometers, calipers, and soldering equipment—ensuring proper calibration before use. • Support continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost quality, productivity, and safety of electrical systems. • Maintain a clean, organized work area and strictly follow all safety regulations and operational procedures.

What You Bring
Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of soldering and assembly experience in the aerospace sector, and must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, residing within 50 miles of Los Angeles, CA. The position requires compliance with ITAR regulations, the ability to lift up to 50 lb, and adherence to company safety policies and continuous‑improvement goals; the company offers competitive benefit programs and an equal‑opportunity employment environment. • Possess a minimum of two years' experience in soldering and assembly manufacturing within the aerospace industry. • Be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR and legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. • Reside within 50 miles of the Los Angeles, CA facility and be able to lift up to 50 lb (group lifts over 35 lb).
