About the Role
The Driver‑CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck and providing prompt, courteous waste removal services. The role includes ensuring the vehicle complies with the company's safety standards, adhering to all company, state, and federal regulations, and completing daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects. Drivers conduct thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, operate the truck along designated routes, load and compact refuse, and deliver it to disposal facilities. They interact professionally with customers and dispatchers, monitor waste for prohibited items, clean accidental spills, and keep the vehicle clean and operational. Additionally, they complete required documentation, meet productivity standards, follow safety policies, and participate in the ReSOP program. • Perform pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections, checking tire pressure, fluids, safety equipment, gauges, and controls. • Safely operate the collection truck along assigned routes, read route sheets, and deliver waste to disposal sites. • Load refuse, operate the compactor, and dispose of material at designated facilities using manual/automatic controls. • Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers to ensure timely service. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers according to procedures. • Monitor waste for unacceptable items and clean accidental spills following safety standards. • Keep the vehicle operationally ready by cleaning waste from the packer blade and truck body each trip. • Complete route/productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports (VCRs), and other required documentation. • Meet departmental productivity standards and adhere to all safety policies and the ReSOP program.

What You Bring
Applicants must possess a Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with an air‑brake endorsement. The position offers a pay range of $23.40 to $32.17 per hour, varying by locality. • Demonstrate good customer service, time management, follow‑through, and adherence to company policies. • Hold a Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with an air‑brake endorsement.
