About the Role
The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician supports the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling and pneumatic systems throughout the building, and works on automated packaging and distribution equipment. The role also offers opportunities to mentor junior technicians. Daily duties include promoting safety, completing preventive maintenance with proper documentation, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues on a variety of equipment, maintaining positive relationships across facilities, and managing department inventory. Shifts can last up to 12 hours, may require lifting up to 49 lb, and involve up to 20% travel. • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on material handling and pneumatic equipment • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical components such as belts, motors, relays, and photo‑eyes • Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution systems • Mentor junior technicians to develop their skills • Document maintenance activities and track department inventory • Promote a safe working environment and follow all safety procedures • Lift and move parts up to 49 lb; push/pull equipment up to 100 lb • Stand, walk, and work 10+ hour shifts on concrete surfaces • Perform tasks in cramped spaces, dusty or noisy environments, and at heights

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high‑school diploma or equivalent, be able to work flexible schedules—including nights, weekends, and holidays—and possess at least two years of experience repairing material handling equipment and performing predictive and preventive maintenance. Preference is given to those with an associate degree in mechanical or electrical fields, experience with automated conveyor systems, blueprint reading, CMMS, and robotics. The position demands repetitive physical activities such as bending, crouching, lifting, and standing on concrete for long periods, as well as working in confined, dusty, noisy, or temperature‑extreme environments. Employees may also work at heights and handle heavy or bulky components. • Travel up to 20% of the time as needed • High school diploma or equivalent required • Minimum 2 years experience repairing material handling equipment • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays • Associate degree or higher in mechanical/electrical field (preferred) • Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls (preferred) • Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics (preferred) • Familiarity with CMMS and robotic/electromechanical maintenance (preferred)
