Downer’s Energy & Utilities business is seeking Painter‑Blasters for a shutdown in Port Hedland, WA. The role involves preparing and protecting steel structures, piping and fixed plant equipment through abrasive blasting and the application of protective coating systems to meet corrosion standards. Candidates must be available from 25 February for inductions, PPE collection and onboarding, and will join a talent pool for future remote and regional projects. • Trade Certificate (highly desirable) • Construction Induction / White Card • Gas test atmospheres, working at heights, and confined spaces experience within the past 5 years • Fire Certificate obtained within the past 5 years • MSIC clearance (highly desirable) • Prior FIFO experience performing Painter‑Blaster duties

Benefits
We are offering a FIFO shutdown assignment from Perth to Port Hedland, running from 5th to 14th March. The roster consists of 12‑hour shifts covering both days and nights, with a 15 % night‑shift allowance. Successful candidates will also have the opportunity to participate in future works as part of our shutdown circuit team.
