You will join an agile, globally distributed team of developers, designers, and product owners to create, run, and continuously improve a reliable, secure, high‑throughput cloud service. The work involves feature development for pre‑construction planning using modern tools, technologies, and platforms. • Develop and maintain Autodesk Preconstruction cloud service with high reliability, security, and performance. • Contribute to an agile team delivering features for pre‑construction planning. • Write RESTful APIs in a micro‑services architecture and apply cloud design patterns such as circuit breaker, caching, and queuing. • Ensure service quality through CI/CD pipelines and provide on‑call production support.

What You Bring

Autodesk is looking for a talented, highly motivated software developer to help build Autodesk Preconstruction, a commercial cloud service that improves efficiency and reduces waste in construction. The role is remote, based in Canada, with preference for candidates in Eastern, Central, or Mountain time zones. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent experience) and 2–5 years of software development experience. Candidates must have worked on agile projects with short release cycles, understand typical web‑application architecture, and have experience building REST APIs in a micro‑services environment. Knowledge of cloud design patterns, security best practices, on‑call production support, and CI/CD pipelines is also required. Preferred qualifications include proficiency with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and React, as well as strong experience with Amazon Web Services or similar cloud infrastructure. Familiarity with basic networking concepts such as load balancing, NAT, and scaling is a plus. The ideal candidate is a fast, perpetual learner who embraces new tools and technologies, shares innovative ideas, and collaborates effectively with both technical and non‑technical colleagues. They thrive in a distributed, dynamic agile environment, can manage multiple tasks independently, and consistently deliver high‑quality results. • Hold a BS in Computer Science or related field and 2–5 years of software development experience. • Experience with AWS, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React, and basic networking components. • Demonstrate rapid learning, proactive idea sharing, and strong collaboration in a distributed environment.
