About the Role

The successful candidate will support construction management and inspection services for water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Charles County, MD. Key duties include daily site inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codes; reviewing contractor submittals, RFIs, change orders, and as‑built drawings; measuring and recording pay items; coordinating progress meetings; communicating field conditions and changes to the owner; providing recommendations for field issues; and collaborating with team members and agency personnel while exercising independent problem‑solving. • Conduct daily site inspections to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and codes. • Review contractor submittals, RFIs, change order requests, and as‑built drawings. • Measure and record pay items. • Coordinate job progress meetings. • Communicate field conditions, conflicts, and changes to the owner. • Provide recommendations for field issues. • Collaborate with team members and personnel from utilities, state, local, and federal agencies. • Apply independent problem‑solving and decision‑making.

What You Bring

WSP USA Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to inspect water distribution systems, treatment facilities, and wastewater collection systems, including pump stations and treatment plants. Applicants must hold a high school diploma and have at least five years of experience with water/wastewater pumping stations and treatment plants, as well as field inspection or construction supervision of civil works projects. Knowledge of ASTM, ACI, and related testing standards, along with proficiency in construction inspection procedures and tools such as nuclear gauges and concrete sampling, is required. Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills are essential.
