About the Role
The Heavy Equipment Technician repairs and maintains heavy, compact, and light service equipment, performing tasks such as preventive inspections, and work on hydraulic, fuel, exhaust, brakes, suspension, electrical, HVAC, and emission systems. Typical repairs include engines, transmissions, chassis, drivelines, body components, brakes, and suspension systems on equipment like excavators, wheel loaders, and compactors. • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including hydraulic, fuel, exhaust, brakes, suspension, electrical, HVAC, and emission systems. • Diagnose mechanical problems using condition reports, repair orders, and on‑board computer data, and communicate findings with supervisors and operators. • Complete work orders, document parts usage, log labor hours, and submit daily consumables reports for fleet management software. • Conduct engine overhauls, oil sampling analysis, and adhere to all safety policies, OSHA HazCom, Lock‑Out‑Tag‑Out, and fire protection regulations.

What You Bring
• Hold ASE certification and at least one year of experience servicing heavy equipment, with knowledge of air brakes, tires, hydraulics, advanced electrical, drivetrain, Tier 4 emissions, and welding/fabrication.
