About the Role
The Senior Electrical Engineer position is based in Largo, FL, focusing on electrical analysis, detailed design, controls integration, and overall performance of Enviro‑Tec HVAC equipment. The role involves new‑product development, sustaining engineering, prototyping, lab validation, certification support, and production enablement, with leadership across NPD teams. Key responsibilities include defining system electrical architecture and load analyses, designing wiring schematics and harnesses, integrating motors and controls, ensuring compliance with UL and NEC standards, leading agency certification activities, overseeing prototype builds, validating test data, and supporting manufacturing, sourcing, and cross‑functional collaboration. • Define electrical architecture, load analysis, and protective coordination for HVAC platforms • Design wiring schematics, harnesses, panels, and enclosure layouts for manufacturability • Integrate motors, VFDs, sensors, and control interfaces into system designs • Ensure compliance with UL 60335‑2‑40, UL 1995, NEC, and agency certification requirements • Lead prototype build, lab validation, test planning, and data analysis • Provide production‑ready BOMs, qualify suppliers, and support manufacturing engineering • Generate drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation documentation per standards • Mentor junior engineers and promote standard work and reusable templates

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering, have at least five years of relevant experience, be proficient in 2‑D electrical schematics (AutoCAD) and BOM databases, and possess knowledge of NEC, UL 1995, and UL 60335‑2‑40. Preferred skills include hands‑on prototype testing, familiarity with A2L refrigerant detection, 3D CAD (SolidWorks), and experience with configurable platforms. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering (or equivalent) • 5+ years of electrical engineering experience • Proficiency with AutoCAD for 2‑D schematics; SolidWorks exposure preferred • Working knowledge of NEC, UL 1995, UL 60335‑2‑40 • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Hands‑on prototype and lab testing experience preferred • Familiarity with A2L refrigerant detection systems and Annex MM coordination
