About the Role

Mortenson is currently seeking a Superintendent I who will coordinate, plan, and supervise assistant superintendents, contractors, and craft activities in a specific discipline while developing and enhancing customer relationships through excellent service. • Plan and implement to ensure all materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule • Review construction and contract documents for completeness and constructability • Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies • Develop and manage project schedules, including three and six‑week look‑ahead schedules • Develop a site logistics plan and lead the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment • Collaborate with project partner superintendents • Conduct on‑site project orientations, pre‑construction planning sessions, and project site meetings • Supervise project partners, craft foremen, and crews; interview, hire, transfer, and dismiss craft team members as needed • Coach and mentor assistant superintendents, craft team members, and other project team members • Ensure proper task coding of work hours on timecards, track work progress and craft productivity • Handle craft team member training and conduct career development discussions • Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels • Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and manage performance • Provide high‑level management of safety, quality, risk, and compliance for the project and team members • Recognize and mitigate unfavorable working conditions and seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures

Benefits

The base pay range for this role is $108,600‑$162,900, with higher ranges for certain office locations.
