What You Bring
Candidates must be current Sophomore, Junior, or Senior students enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business. They must be able to commute to the Denver service center and be available to work full‑time during the summer (up to 40 hours per week) and part‑time during the spring (up to 20 hours per week). Interns gain practical experience by contributing to operations support groups, presenting to senior leadership, and collaborating with key internal stakeholders. Each intern plays a role in achieving department objectives and goals while applying classroom knowledge through hands‑on training. The program also offers networking opportunities with other interns across the Gas Utility. The anticipated base pay ranges from $16.20 to $19.00 per hour, and interns are eligible for benefits such as a pension, 401(k) plan, paid time off, and holidays. Benefit plans are subject to change at Xcel Energy’s discretion.
