About the Role
The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician supports the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. The role includes installing, maintaining, and servicing automated packaging and distribution equipment, as well as mentoring junior technicians. Daily duties involve promoting a safe work environment, completing preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems in material handling equipment such as belts, motors, photo‑eyes, and relays. The technician also tracks inventory, may travel up to 20 % of the time, and works shifts of up to 12 hours, including weekends and holidays. JLL utilizes artificial intelligence to assess applications and follows strict privacy protocols, ensuring candidate data is protected throughout the recruitment process. • Perform preventative maintenance and document procedures on material handling equipment. • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues in MHE, conveyors, and pneumatic systems. • Install, maintain, and service automated packaging and distribution equipment. • Mentor junior technicians and promote a safe work environment. • Track inventory, follow safety protocols, and travel up to 20% as needed.

What You Bring
Required qualifications are a high‑school diploma or equivalent, flexible availability, and at least two years of experience repairing material handling equipment. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree in mechanical or electrical fields, experience with automated conveyor systems, blueprint reading, CMMS, and robotic or electromechanical maintenance. The role demands repetitive bending, lifting up to 49 lb (occasionally 100 lb), standing or walking on concrete for long periods, and working in confined, dusty, noisy, or temperature‑extreme conditions. Employees must maintain dexterity and be able to work at heights and handle awkward equipment parts. • Required: High school diploma, flexible schedule, 2+ years MHE repair experience. • Preferred: Associate degree in mechanical/electrical, experience with automated conveyors, blueprint reading, CMMS, and robotics. • Physical: Lift up to 49 lb, stand/walk 12‑hour shifts, work in confined, dusty, noisy environments.
