About the Role

The LVA Electrical Test Technician sets up, operates, and maintains various test equipment to perform electrical, electronic, and mechanical tests on control equipment. This role ensures that tested equipment meets customer specifications, safety, and quality requirements. The technician maintains a safe work environment, continuously expands product and process knowledge through training or reading, and builds positive relationships within the team. They develop rapport with customers, participating heavily in witness tests and accurately recording data, writing reports, and processing paperwork with accountability. They follow procedures with strict attention to detail, troubleshoot test problems by thinking critically, and continuously improve work processes by developing new test setups and procedures when existing ones are inadequate. Additionally, they troubleshoot and repair warranty and non‑warranty issues and promptly report quality concerns through proper channels. • Set up, operate, and maintain test equipment for electrical, electronic, and mechanical testing. • Verify equipment meets customer specifications, safety, and quality standards. • Maintain a safe work environment and continuously expand product and process knowledge. • Build team relationships and interface extensively with customers during witness tests. • Accurately record test data, write reports, and process paperwork promptly. • Follow procedures with strict attention to detail. • Troubleshoot and resolve test-related problems, warranty, and non‑warranty issues. • Develop new test setups and procedures to improve processes. • Report quality issues through appropriate channels. • Work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.

What You Bring

The position requires flexible hours, including overtime and weekends. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the Arden, NC facility, though active‑duty military members are exempt from this restriction. No relocation assistance is provided. A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics from an accredited institution is required, along with previous experience troubleshooting electrical and/or mechanical problems. Strong knowledge of basic electricity, motors and controls, PLC programming, and AC/DC fundamentals is essential. • Reside within 50 miles of Arden, NC (military exemption applies); no relocation provided. • Hold an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics. • Possess strong knowledge of basic electricity, motors & controls, PLC programming, and AC/DC fundamentals. • Prior experience troubleshooting electrical/mechanical problems.
