About the Role

• Provide technical support for production equipment. • Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust manufacturing machinery. • Perform preventive, predictive, reactive, and corrective maintenance. • Install, dismantle, or relocate equipment per blueprints or drawings. • Diagnose and fix electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, HVAC, boiler, and wastewater issues. • Use test equipment to locate electrical and mechanical malfunctions. • Test and calibrate AC/DC drives, motors, and control systems. • Install and maintain relays, sensors, switches, solenoid valves, and safety circuits. • Clean, lubricate, and adjust sensors and servos to improve process efficiency. • Collaborate with contractors for equipment repairs, installations, or upgrades. • Participate in Continuous Improvement, 5S, and housekeeping activities.

The role involves a broad spectrum of maintenance activities, from preventive and corrective work to supporting production equipment and ensuring a safe work environment. The technician must be able to read schematics, diagnose electro‑mechanical issues, and collaborate with contractors when needed. Candidates need a high‑school diploma with technical coursework (Basic Electricity, Motors and Motor Controls, plus a third elective) and up to two years of electro‑mechanical experience. Mechanical aptitude, knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, and the ability to work with limited supervision are required. Disciplinary and attendance performance standards must be met. Strong language and mathematical skills are required to interpret safety rules, specifications, work instructions, and to perform basic calculations. Reasoning ability is needed to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions and understand daily reports. The position demands regular standing, walking, reaching, and occasional lifting of up to 40 lb, with occasional sitting, stooping, or kneeling. The work environment includes exposure to moving equipment, moderate noise, and occasional fumes, with accommodations provided as required. • Demonstrate safe work practices, including lockout/tagout and confined‑space entry.
