About the Role
The role oversees materials flow and inventory transactions to support plant operations, deploying lean material flow principles. It directs purchasing from engineering to order products, emphasizing strategic partnerships, and generates short‑term production schedules aligned with the Network plan. The incumbent monitors execution of the production schedule, schedules labor on the factory floor, and escalates material availability issues to the Center of Excellence and Network teams. The individual drives forecast attainment in line with the Master Production Schedule derived from the SIOP plan and executes shipment schedules that meet customer priority dates. Continuous improvement is championed using tools such as internal assessments, Materials Management Assessment, Operational Assessment, visual management, standard work, and value‑stream mapping. The role also maintains target inventory levels, on‑time delivery goals for internal and external customers, and overall freight targets, while ensuring plant data health across routings, WMS, MRO, shipping/receiving, part movements, and production scheduling. • Manage material flow and inventory using lean principles. • Direct purchasing from engineering, focusing on strategic partnerships. • Create short‑term production schedules aligned with network plans. • Monitor and adjust production execution, including labor scheduling. • Escalate material availability issues to COE and Network teams. • Drive forecast attainment according to the Master Production Schedule (MPS) from SIOP. • Execute shipment schedules meeting customer priority dates. • Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives (MMA, OPA, visual management, standard work, value‑stream mapping). • Maintain target inventory levels, on‑time delivery, and freight targets. • Ensure plant data health (routings, WMS, MRO, shipping/receiving, part movements, scheduling). • Serve as point of contact for SIOP execution escalations.

What You Bring
Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, at least five years of combined experience in materials, operations, or supply‑chain management within manufacturing, and three years of people‑manager experience. Candidates must have experience supporting cross‑functional SIOP and inventory processes, technical knowledge of forecasting, bill‑of‑materials structuring, scheduling execution, and SAP, as well as deep understanding of plant manufacturing processes and value streams. An APICS CPIM certification is desirable. • Hold a bachelor’s degree and minimum five years of relevant experience. • Minimum three years of managerial experience. • Proficient in SIOP, forecasting, BOM structuring, scheduling, and SAP. • In‑depth knowledge of plant manufacturing processes and value streams. • APICS CPIM certification preferred.
